Waterline Replacement Project Update

Thank you all for your patience with the new waterline connection last week. The work entailed an 18 hour day for crews of over 15 workers from Williams Construction and Mountain Village making 7 new welded waterline connections to an entire new section of pipe along Fox Farm from Spruce to Wapiti. While these connections went smoothly, this took much longer than expected resulting in water outages that day for much of Ski Ranches until 3am. A valve serving the south side of Ski Ranches was also unexpectedly restricted during this work resulting in negligible flow to Quakey, Park, and Beaver Pond.

Additionally, this Tuesday Bruin Waste vehicles were unable to access all Ski Ranch roads due to road closings for asphalt repairs on road cuts related to the waterline project.

This necessary waterline work will be continuing for the next two weeks to repair leaks on a section of Wapiti between Meadow and Sunshine Circle before wrapping up for this season. We understand that a project of this scale creates many inconveniences but we are pleased to have completed a very significant portion of needed improvements. Bruin Dumpster-Community Cleanup

The dumpster at the top of Fox Farm is now full, it will be emptied tomorrow. Please do not use this to dispose of waste that can be removed through normal household pickup and recycling service, nor yard waste, and please no electronics, no wet paints or hazardous chemicals, and no construction material. Please load bulky items conscientiously to assure the dumpster can be maximally filled. We hope to make this a routine service for the neighborhood if this can work smoothly.
